4 Things I’m Looking Forward to in the Next 10 Days

Kennett Square always has a lot to enjoy - here are 4 things I'm looking forward to in the next 10 days

1. Visiting Longwood Gardens with friends
On Saturday, my college roommate, her husband, and their sweet little boy are coming down from Philly to spend the morning in Kennett Square! They've never done Longwood Gardens with their son, so we are going to see the orchid exhibit and explore the children's garden. Finally, I get to play in the fountais without looking like a creeper because I will actually be there with a child!

2. Enjoying drinks with a friend at Sovana Bistro
Later that day, I'm catching up with a friend over drinks at Sovana Bistro. After trying out their autumn menu, I'm excited to see what they have on deck these days.

3. Volunteering at the library
Last week, I started volunteering at the Kennett Public Library on Wednesdays, so I am all of 2 shifts down, but I don't think it's too early to say that I love it. I get special pleasure out of wearing a bookish nerd shirt on my volunteer days, and reshelving the returned books is a great combination of my loves of books and alphabetizing!

4. Sampling beer at the 5th Annual Kennett Winterfest
My husband and I have gone to every Kennett Winterfest so far, and the streak is alive this year! (Win tickets here!) The festival is a week from Saturday, and so far, the 10-day forecast looks to be the warmest yet - temperatures are in the 50s! One of our friends is celebrating his 30th birthday at the festival, and we'll have our traditional pretzel necklaces and afterparty. Cheers!

What are you looking forward to these days?
