At Fig, we envision a different kind of publication….one that energizes a thriving, sustainable local economy. We believe in the power of creative thinking to transform a community.
For us this means finding ways to support non-profit organizations that foster creativity and educate people about the power of innovation as foundations for a vibrant city. We believe that awareness of opportunities helps people to make informed personal choices or to find the encouragement they need to make a difference.
We have created partnerships with local non-profits whose missions support this goal. These organizations are making a difference in the Kennett Square community. Individually, they offer opportunities for enrichment and education. Together, they strengthen the fabric of our community.
Sparked by this greater purpose, Fig aims to demonstrate mutually beneficial ways that we can work together and empower positive change. Make a choice to support a creative community and help build healthy, productive lives.
2016 Social Mission Partner: Kennett Trails Alliance
Kennett Trails Alliance seeks to connect the Kennett community to its natural beauty while promoting health, safety, a respect for the environment, and a sense of community through the creation of the Kennett Greenway. The Kennett Greenway is a collaboration between Kennett Trails Alliance, the Kennett Township, Kennett Borough, and the The Land Conservancy for Southern Chester County. Once completed, the Kennett Greenway will be a 10-12 mile contiguous pedestrian and bicycle loop linking Kennett’s beautiful preserved open space, numerous recreational facilities, and other community assets in southern Chester County. KTA’s vision includes building a better Kennett community for the current generation and for generations to come.
